Zerohive for executives and business owners¶
Zerohive connects work execution, people, communication, retained records, contribution insight and governed assistance. For an executive or business owner, the central decision is where those capabilities can support an accountable process in your organization, and what must be established before people depend on that process.
Start with a specific business problem: an approval with unclear responsibility, a project whose progress is difficult to explain, an official exchange that needs reliable records, or staff who need help finding approved information. Choose the relevant capability and assess its actual readiness for that use.
Draft and availability: This guidance draws on the reviewed feature documentation. It does not certify a production rollout, complete platform coverage or your organization's acceptance. The frontend remains in progress, and the newer final-screen designs can be ahead of it. Each feature guide identifies implementation and recovery limitations.

Connect the business need to the right capability¶
| Business need | Relevant area | Evidence to establish before relying on it |
|---|---|---|
| Make responsibilities and decisions explicit | Requests and workflow execution, approval authority | The process, eligible decision makers, exception route and final business outcome |
| Coordinate delivery over time | Projects and cases | Ownership, progress meaning, dependencies and the conditions for completion |
| Retain information and handle official exchanges | Records and correspondence | Source ownership, access, filing, retention and authorized recovery |
| Collaborate between organizations | Enterprise networks and shared work | Which workspace owns each action, which information can be exchanged, and what acceptance means |
| Discuss contribution with supporting evidence | HiveOrbit insights and recognition evidence | Period, population, source coverage, calculation meaning and unresolved limitations |
| Help people find and use approved information | HiveAI access, grounded answers and workspace knowledge | Approved purpose, permitted sources, human review, provider readiness and spending authority |
These are possible uses to evaluate. The table is not evidence that every connected journey is delivered, nor that a particular business result will follow.
Assign accountable owners¶
An executive sponsor should make ownership clear before asking a team to adopt a process.
| Responsibility | What the owner needs to decide |
|---|---|
| Business process | The intended outcome, participants, decision rules, exceptions and fallback when the system is unavailable |
| Organization administration | Workspace identity, membership, product access, people structure and change control |
| Finance and commercial arrangements | The selected offer, capacity, billing contact, payment authority and review of recurring commitments |
| Information ownership | Which material belongs in the process, who may see it, and the applicable retention and sharing requirements |
| Assistance governance | Approved AI purposes, sources, oversight, knowledge publication and incident escalation |
| Service and support | Who investigates uncertain results, preserves references and confirms restoration of the affected work |
A responsibility in this table is not a product permission. A job title or workspace-administrator role does not grant every operational or information-access power. Use membership and authority to understand the actual access model.
Evaluate a bounded adoption scenario¶
Choose one process with a named owner, a defined participant group and an outcome people can recognize. Follow the adoption guide to prepare it.
For example, an internal approval scenario can examine whether a requester understands what to supply, a reviewer can identify the right task, a returned request can be corrected, and the team can establish the final decision. It should also examine denied access, changed responsibility and an uncertain save.
A design walkthrough can establish whether the intended experience is understandable. A source review can establish what behavior is implemented. A connected exercise in the chosen environment is still needed to establish that the full journey works there. Keep those findings separate.
Define success before measuring it¶
Agree which outcomes matter and how you will observe them. Useful evaluation questions include:
- Can participants identify the correct workspace, task and decision owner?
- Can the process owner establish the final outcome from retained work and evidence?
- Can a user recover an interrupted action without starting an unnecessary duplicate?
- Can support distinguish a missing permission, delayed processing and an unavailable service?
- Can finance relate a commercial change to its saved request, payment and resulting capacity?
These are proposed evaluation measures, not a claim that Zerohive already calculates a single adoption score. Establish a baseline and a comparable observation method before reporting an improvement. No percentage saving, return on investment or completion-time guarantee is supplied by this documentation.
HiveOrbit figures and platform activity counts have defined populations and collection limits. A dashboard total does not automatically measure business value, staff performance, successful AI answers or adoption. Read the relevant measure's meaning before including it in executive reporting.
Understand the commitments¶
Workspace plans, licensed capacity, product entitlements and individual permissions are related but separate. A paid purchase can still await application to the workspace. HiveAI credit and budget controls also have separate meanings.
Read usage and capacity, subscription and billing and HiveAI spending. Use the current authorized offer and saved commercial summary for actual terms. Example screens are not quotations.
The governance and commercial guide explains the questions to resolve about access, information, oversight, spending and lifecycle.
Make a readiness decision¶
Before expanding use, the accountable owners should be able to explain the chosen process, its current limitations, the evidence from the intended environment and the response to a failed or uncertain action. Unresolved gaps should have an owner and an explicit effect on scope.
If the required interface or integration is incomplete, keep that scenario as a design or documentation review until the connected path has been verified. Backend availability alone is insufficient evidence for operational adoption. Private Cloud remains disabled.
The initial documentation reviewer is @she2. Their acceptance and domain walkthroughs are still pending. These pages prepare that review; they do not record an approval.
Continue with planning adoption or governance and commercial responsibilities.
