My Day and work assistance

My Day helps you begin a working day by asking HiveAI about workflow tasks that may need attention. Work assistance can also check a particular memo, official letter or record, subject to your current access. Use the result to decide what to inspect next in WorkOS.

Availability: the backend read tools are implemented. The current frontend is still incomplete and disables the HiveAI entry; a delivered, interactive My Day experience has not been verified. Final Screens show the intended conversation journey. The guide distinguishes that journey from current behavior and known gaps. This documentation is a draft for initial review.

What this feature helps with

Need Intended help What you must still check
Start the day A short view of relevant workflow tasks Your full WorkOS task list, current assignments and deadlines
Understand a task A recognizable task reference and current status The task detail, instructions and permitted next action
Follow correspondence A status for a particular memo or official letter Its full history, delivery and current lifecycle in WorkOS
Check a record A current stage for a particular accessible record Filing, custody, disposition and documents in the record view
Resume work Context for returning to the owning WorkOS feature That you have opened the correct item and still have permission

An answer does not complete a task, accept work, send correspondence, file a record or grant access. Those changes require their own authorized action and outcome. Conversation guidance explains how questions and answers differ from saved or executed work.

Whose work is considered

My Day uses the signed-in member's current workforce identity. It checks both tasks assigned to that member and tasks in work pools they are currently eligible to use. A work pool is a shared queue from which eligible members can take or handle work. Membership is checked when the request is made.

This is a personal work view. Organization-head or manager status does not turn it into another person's My Day, a team workload report or an employee-performance ranking. If identity, timezone or current pool membership cannot be verified, the check can be unavailable.

What “today” currently means

The service derives the current day from the verified member profile's timezone. A timezone or different date written in the question does not override that boundary.

The current selection includes eligible unfinished workflow tasks due before the end of that day, including overdue tasks, plus tasks with no due date. Completed, cancelled and skipped tasks are excluded. It is therefore broader than a list containing only today's deadlines.

The intended screens say “Today's workflow tasks” and show sample due times. The current assistant result does not carry those due times through to the answer. Check exact deadlines in WorkOS; do not treat a generated time as verified merely because the design example includes one.

A useful selection has limits

The ordinary request asks for up to 25 tasks, with a maximum of 100. Selection is limited before the assistant applies its final ordering. Some actionable states receive priority within that selected set, followed by due-date and stable ordering rules. This is not a complete ranking of every task or a judgment about employee performance.

The current result has no working continuation or reliable “more tasks” signal for My Day. A short or apparently complete answer does not establish that all relevant work was checked. A warning about missing tasks is useful when present, but its absence is not evidence of completeness.

A task can also change after the answer was produced. Confirm its current state in WorkOS before acting. Read the task guide for empty, partial, unavailable and changed-work recovery.

Correspondence and record boundaries

Work assistance reads a specific source item using current permissions, scope and classification checks. Knowing a reference, having seen a previous answer or holding a management role does not by itself establish current access.

The current generic record-status path excludes personnel records, Secret records and records that have been disposed, archived or rejected. The inspected correspondence path excludes Secret or unknown classifications and recalled, archived or rejected correspondence. These omissions do not mean that the underlying item has ceased to exist.

Additional access restrictions in the current assistant path can also prevent a status check that would be readable directly in WorkOS. The supplied details are limited: a record stage is not its full filing, custody or disposition status; a correspondence status is not a full lifecycle or delivery history.

Business and administrative use

For members, the value is a starting point for reviewing work. For managers and executives, it is a personal assistance capability whose completeness and access limits must be understood before using it in a decision. It is not evidence of total demand, staff capacity, service-level compliance or work completed.

Tenant administrators should maintain accurate member identity, timezone, permissions, pool membership and the organization's HiveAI availability. Platform staff and support should distinguish a missing entry, an unavailable read, an incomplete list and changed source access. Increasing access merely to make an AI answer appear is not the recovery path.

These are read-only work checks, but the enclosing AI conversation can consume the organization's available credits. A read-only label does not promise free service or remove current commercial, provider or budget controls.

For personal request history, pending decisions, assigned work, shared queues and request counts, read understanding workflow assistance. Those reads describe different populations and have their own current assistant-delivery limits. They do not expand My Day into a complete workload or management report.

Use the My Day task guide for the intended question-and-response sequence and recovery. Knowledge and sources explains why source-backed answers still require current access. Requests and workflow, records and correspondence explain the work you return to.
