Get help with governance changes and delayed results

An approval-body change, a saved governance outcome and an updated report are different results. When something is missing or delayed, identify which result you expected before repeating the action.

Draft availability: these recovery principles follow the inspected backend. The administration guide describes the newer Final Screens journey; the inspected frontend still uses sample governance data and local success messages. A displayed success in that frontend is not evidence of a durable save. Connected behavior and environment readiness remain unaccepted.

Identify the stage that needs attention

Expected result Evidence to check
A changed body, member, chairperson or delegation The saved body and its current detail, including dates, voting/signing access and active state
Current authority for a work item The correct body, effective period, eligible people and the authority snapshot used by that work
A recorded governance outcome The intended work, record type, recorded evidence and any correction relationship
A refreshed report The saved source outcome and the reporting process's actual receipt or revision
A completed assistant proposal The original proposal and attempt, source result and retained outcome; a completed response can still report failure
An export or deletion result The existing organization job, participant scope and overall outcome

The reporting guide, assistant explanation and data-lifecycle explanation describe those handoffs. A service status indicator alone does not prove any of these business results.

After an uncertain save

  1. Keep the body or work reference, action, intended values and time. Preserve the original attempt reference if one is available.
  2. Read the same record again through an authorized, connected view. Compare the actual saved values with the intended change.
  3. If the result is still uncertain, ask support to reconcile the original attempt. Avoid creating a second body, membership, delegation or outcome merely to make the message disappear.
  4. Continue only once the saved result or a clear rejection is established. Use the supported correction process when a recorded outcome needs correction.

A timeout or failed response can happen after work was saved. Conversely, a local interface message can appear without a backend save. These situations need different recovery, so report the exact observation instead of describing both as a failed change.

When authority appears wrong

Confirm the organization and body first. Check whether the membership has started or ended, whether voting or signing is enabled, and whether a delegation's originating member still has effective authority. A person can appear in historical membership while having no current authority.

Quorum concerns eligible voters. Signing authority and the chairperson are separate checks. A successful request for authority information can return no eligible people; it does not mean the body can complete the proposed work. Historical reads also use current record flags, so they are not an immutable reconstruction of every earlier permission.

For a reserved organization-head body, use the synchronization guidance to distinguish designation changes from delayed updates. For shared work, use the routing explanation. Changing the local display or repeatedly submitting the same action does not repair an unresolved source or routing issue.

Give support enough context

Provide the organization, body/work reference, intended action, time and time zone, visible message, whether a fresh read succeeded, and the business impact. Include original proposal, export or deletion references when relevant. Avoid copying confidential evidence into an unrelated channel.

Support should distinguish access rejection, missing authority, stale information, an unavailable dependency and an uncertain committed result. Managers need the work affected, remaining owner and confirmed status. An operator's healthy-service observation or successful restart does not replace verification of the original business outcome.
